“When I started working out with Marilyn about 2 months ago, I had no idea what to expect. Though I was no stranger to moving my body, I hadn’t been intentional about it in years. I was nervous about lifting heavy things—I had no idea what I was capable of. Chronic pain from over a decade in the dental field left me very nervous about my form during workouts. I didn’t want to make anything worse!
My first meeting with Marilyn put all my concerns to rest. It was clear that she was very knowledgeable and passionate about helping people find fitness— whatever that looked like. I could tell that I was in good hands.
And now? I feel more confident in my workouts than ever before. Marilyn makes corrections to my form to ensure the correct muscles are doing the work. She has me work on my balance and movements that I do on a daily basis to make sure I remain injury free. AND I’m finding out that I’m WAY stronger than I thought! With Marilyn’s guidance, I surprise myself at every session. I’m learning to listen to my body in regards to what I need from a workout. I have been able to connect with and activate muscle groups that I used to struggle with (hello glutes!).

Personal training at SHADOW CAT is a collaborative, evolving process focused on building strength, resilience, and a deeper understanding of your body—not chasing perfection or quick fixes. Together, we explore your goals, movement history, lifestyle, stress levels, preferences, and challenges to create an approach that actually works for you as an individual. Sessions are intentionally adaptable and designed to meet you where you are that day, while still helping you move toward long-term progress.
Rather than rigid programs or repetitive workouts, our work emphasizes body awareness, movement quality, adaptability, and sustainable strength. You’ll learn how to better recognize your body’s feedback, understand when to challenge yourself, when to adjust, when to rest, and what tools help you feel and function at your best. As your confidence and capacity grow, sessions evolve alongside you—becoming more challenging, more personalized, and more aligned with your goals.
This approach is supportive, dynamic, and rooted in curiosity. We leave room for experimentation, flexibility, and the reality that bodies and lives are constantly changing. The goal isn’t just to get through a workout—it’s to help you build the skills, self-trust, and resilience to continue caring for your body long after the session ends.
Here’s how to get started on your SHADOW CAT personal training journey…
STEP 1: COmplimentary consultation (55 min)
We’ll meet to discuss your goals, your medical history, fitness experience, and schedule. You’ll get a feel for how training sessions will go, as well as a sample of some exercises. Send me an email with your availability and we’ll go from there!
Step 2: Introductory offer
Once we’ve completed your consultation, purchase your first 8 personal training sessions for just $440 (Limit one intro offer per person, limited time offer. Sessions are 55 minutes long).
STEP 3: PERSONAL TRAINING subscriptions
Once you’ve completed y our first eight sessions, we’ll talk about what you’d like for your next steps to be! Personal training subscriptions are offered in 1 session/week, 2 sessions/week, or 3 sessions/week subscriptions, for commitments of 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months.
